It’s been quite an interesting year so far. The COVID19 pandemic has certainly changed the way we just about everything. Since many of our weddings have been rescheduled for later this year or next year, I’ve had a lot of free time. Last year I taught a few beginner floral design classes which were very rewarding to me. I decided to take the plunge and host a virtual class a few weeks ago. I had no idea if this would be successful or even if anyone would register! Luckily I did have a few “students” so my team delivered the flowers bunches and a vase to them so they could design with me live on Facebook. It was so much fun! At first it feels odd talking to yourself and smiling for the camera but after a few minutes I got into a rhythm with my design. The flowers were amazing and the centerpieces we made came out beautifully. Teaching has been very rewarding to me and I plan to continue it in the future when I have time. Wedding and event floral design is definitely my first love, but I really enjoy sharing my flower knowledge with others. The photos below showcase some of the beautiful product we used during the class. We used peach roses, gorgeous yellow ranunculus, petite pink tulips and white lisianthus. If you are local to the Leesburg VA area and would like to participate in a future virtual class just drop me a note. I will happily add you to the my list! Join our email list on the website to keep up with our future projects!
