Wedding Inspiration, JR Flowers & A Wedding Loft

A few months ago I decided to organize a wedding inspiration photo shoot. Wedding pros will periodically participate in these shoots for several reasons. Networking with others in the industry, testing out new ideas and introduction of new designs styles are a few reasons we participate in styled shoots. I decided to go with a “glamorous winter garden” theme with blush, gold, black and ivory as the color palette. We used high end glass tall centerpiece stands, exquisite linens and place settings and the one of the most amazing wedding gowns I have ever seen. I have been eager to create a floral staircase design so I jumped at the chance to create one for this project. This shoot was the perfect combination of neutral colors, greenery and a very elegant reception head table. I often work with brides who want more color in their wedding flowers but that doesn’t mean I can’t get excited about a more muted color palette. In fact, sometimes I enjoy taking a break from color and using neutrals. Few things are as pretty as the quicksand rose, which is sandy/blush in color and was the central flower in this styled shoot.

The shoot was held at A Wedding Loft, which is a new collaborative workspace in Leesburg, VA for female wedding pros. I am one of the founding members and I’m so excited to be a part of this network. I had the best time working with the team for this shoot and I couldn’t be more proud of the result. The shoot was also published in Wedding Chicks online blog.
