Wintertime and flowers

Hello friends,

It has been too long since my last blog post! I promise to do a better job with blogging in 2018. This cold weather we have been having can be difficult to deal with. We still have events in the winter that need beautiful flowers though. Recently we had a large event in Leesburg that required hundreds of gorgeous blooms. The request was for all white flowers in elegant gold vases. Did we deliver? Well of course we did! JR Flowers is known for elegant designs and top notch customer service. All white flowers in winter are an excellent choice. Sometime adding greenery in silvers and dark  green can elevate the design even further. If you suffer from winter blues, having flowers around can certainly help with that. Take the extra time to bring flowers into your home in January, it will help elevate your mood. Maybe you need a pop of color? Add in a few pinks, purples or even yellow. Add a small vase of flowers in your kitchen, powder room and on your bedside table.  Winter time doesn’t have to be bleak just because local flowers are not in bloom. Don’t worry, spring will be back before we know it. Like most florists,  spring is definitely my favorite season. When the flowers return and start blooming again I couldn’t be happier.

Next month we will talk about the V word, you guessed it, Valentine’s Day. Stay tuned friends.
