It has been a few weeks since I’ve last posted and as a community, we have entered uncharted territory with the COVID-19 experience. As we shift into unprecedented times with restrictions on large gatherings, naturally weddings are a concern. Your initial thought may be doom and gloom but there are options.

June, the traditional wedding month! The weather is great, everyone is excited about summer and couples everywhere are tying the knot. We had the pleasure of designing flowers for Yvette and Luis on the 13th of June.

The last few months have flown by. We have been busy with intimate weddings a few larger ones. I wanted to show you all this beautiful intimate wedding at Larz Anderson House in .Washington DC. Anderson House is a museum and historic home in DC, and it attracts many visitors yearly due to its history.

We love color at JR Flowers. When a group of professionals asked us to join them for a small wedding editorial shoot, we were definitely on board. The palette was sorbet type colors such as peach, mauve, pink and light green.

Every spring I feel the urge to create with flowers just for fun. After a long winter, it’s time to flex the flower muscles and show off a little of my personal style. District Winery is a beautiful winery and restaurant venue on the waterfront of Washington DC. It hosts many weddings each year and attracts many visitors. It’s located along the Anacostia River very close to National’s Park. Many young couples love the city location and the modern vibe of the space.
